Behind the bandstand at the Rum Boogie Cafe hangs the original sign from STAX records studio. It was located in a theatre nearby, but, long since torn down. If you didn't know: STAX was home to Booker T. and the M.G's (memphis group) as well as Otis Redding and others. This was where the Memphis R&B sound that permeated the world took place. I wish the studio still existed. Lost to modernization. A darn shame. At least the sign made it to the millenium.
