Inside the Blues City Cafe you will find the closest thing to a "Greasy Spoon" restaurant on Beale Street. Funky, to say the least. You get the feeling it hasn't changed much over the years. There's a club attached to it, as well. They say the Tamales and chili are the "thang" to have. I opted for some "not so traditional" gumbo, but, it was still mighty tasty. Add Louisiana hot sauce ... a Corona ... and you're on your way! Mmmm good grease.
