On
our last evening in Yakota, we were driven to Tokyo's Ginza
shopping district. After having a great dinner, we went out
to a club where a Japanese "Beatles -type" band was
performing. The Ginza district is like NEON heaven. It had
the wildest signs, many having 10 or 12 different screen
changes before they looped back to the beginning. That was a
show in itself, considering it was just 1992. We're just now
getting that elaborate here in the states. Here's a time
exposure shot that I took of the Ginza area.
Early
the next morning, we were off to Misawa Air Force Base. It
was originally an old WWII airfield where Kamikaze pilots
were trained. Before that, it was where the Emperor used to
keep his horses.
