Below: A
note passed up to the bandstand by one of the servicemen at
a show in Osan.
Located
right outside the base was a shopping district with all
kinds of goods and products. Tennis shoes were particularly
low in cost. I think I bought 6 pair while we were there and
shipped them home. I also had a couple of tuxedo shirts
custom made, that were particularly unique. It was a lot of
fun picking out the fabrics for different parts of the
shirts. You can easily become "quite the snobbish jetset
traveler" at times like this, if you don't keep your guard
up to ward off becoming too impressed with yourself.
