Part II of the Upside of R&R Home

The picture below is from the September 14, 1972 cover of Rolling Stone magazine. I used to love that song by Doctor Hook and the Medicine Show. You know, "On the cover of the Rolling Stone."

"Yeah, I'd be out front. Smilin'. Ahh beautiful, man!."

Digger O'Dell (Danny Hutton) *note eyes are open with irritation that I am disturbing him by taking a picture) and leaning in, Joe Schermie

Coming out of the bathroom of our private plane:

Lee Carlton (crew guy/friend), and Chuck Negron on the right.

And "What," you might ask," is the picture below?" Straight out of the "Around the World" album. It was a photo taken on our plane. Danny was sleeping and we started baiting Jimmy to climb up and ... well ... I can't say it. Anyway, Jimmy dropped his drawers, exposing a "rude b.a." to a startled waking Danny. Our good fortune that Ed Caraeff, our photographer, was traveling with us AND was ready with the camera. A telltale "Kodak moment," documenting the level of maturity that resides in touring rock n roll bands. We could have been brain surgeons, but duty called.

Me in the pink (The 70's were very swishy on a fashion level.)
